about kamar

Kamar Sarakbi is a senior finance executive with over 20 years of experience in multinational FMCG, currently serving as Chief Financial Officer for L’Oréal Morocco. In this role, she leads financial strategy, governance, and performance management while being a business partner to drive sustainable and long-term value creation.

Across her career in Canada and the Middle East, Kamar has built a strong track record in navigating complexity, leading transformation, and aligning financial rigor with purpose-driven decision-making.
She has built deep expertise at the intersection of finance, strategy, sustainability, and transformation. Her journey reflects a deep conviction that leadership is not only about delivering results, but about creating impact on people, culture, and operational excellence.

As a mentor, Kamar supports mentees on topics such as career navigation, leadership confidence, executive presence, stakeholder management, and making bold but values-aligned career decisions. She brings a practical, human-centric approach to mentoring, helping women move from self-doubt to clarity, from ambition to action.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill and began her career at L'Oreal Canada in financial analysis and controlling roles, steadily progressing into senior leadership through performance, credibility, and impact.

What she enjoys most about her current role is building environments where teams can thrive, shaping strategy with purpose, and using her position to create ripple effects beyond the organization.

Outside of work, Kamar is an active advocate for women’s leadership, sustainability, an advocate for equality and giving back to the community. She is a firm believer in lifelong learning. She sees mentoring not only as advice-giving, but as creating the conditions for others to see their own potential clearly.

A guiding belief: when women are empowered to lead authentically, they don’t just advance careers, they shape better systems.
