Originally from Austria, Margareta has spent a major part of her career in the UK where she resides. She has gained experience with the pace of rapidly growing startups since 2006, when she helped scale BlackBerry during it’s hyper growth across Europe.

Between 2011 and 2015, Margareta led Tesla’s recruitment expansion as Senior Manager, EMEA through to becoming a global brand, setting up the company’s recruitment and sourcing team. She enabled the organisation to scale and project the company going from five to more than 60 locations in 10 countries.

When she joined Tesla, there were approximately 30 people in Europe, and when she later left, Tesla Europe had over 4000 employees, and became an organisation with over 13,000+ employees worldwide.

Later in her career, Margareta was hired as Global Recruitment Director to get Lilium in Munich, literally off the ground. She joined the 4 founders and the 30 people team in 2017. Within less than 3 years, the company grew to 400 and all necessary processes and systems had been implemented. A senior leadership team was assembled to take Lilium into the stratosphere and set it up on its transformation and trajectory to now be valued at $1B.

Margareta was hired into Leko Labs, Luxembourg in July 2020 as Chief People Officer to support the company's changes. In April 2021 she Founded her company Monday Squares to co-author her first book and work with founders in their Seed and Series A round to set their teams up for success.

Margareta is a firm believer that people are your most valuable and strategic asset, next to one's product idea. However she noticed that often this is overlooked by early founders. This is why Mondaysqures was created.
