Melisa Erkurt (born 1991 in Sarajevo) is a founder, journalist, author and former teacher from Vienna. In 2021 she founded “die\_chefredaktion”, a young medium by and for young people on Instagram and TikTok. Before that she worked at ORF “Report”. She writes a column in “Falter” and hosted the Ö1 podcast “Sprechstunde”. Her book "Generation Haram" (2020) became a bestseller. She has received several awards for her work, including being listed Forbes “30 under 30” in 2021, the ranking of the 30 most successful and innovative young people under 30. Also she is very active on Instagram&Twitter herself, has various multimedia appearances in national and international media and gives keynotes, panel discussions, lectures, moderation, workshops.
