Sara Montagnolli is a trailblazer in Austrian sports, celebrated as the country’s first professional female beach volleyball athlete and a former Top 10 player in the world. Transitioning from elite athletics to mentorship and entrepreneurship, Sara draws on her unique experiences to guide and inspire others. She specializes in helping women build confidence, overcome imposter syndrome, and reach higher positions in their careers—drawing parallels between high-achieving athletes and professionals in the business world.

Currently, Sara works as a mentor for elite athletes, offering her expertise in goal setting, resilience, and leadership development. She is passionate about addressing the lack of female representation in leadership, particularly in sports coaching, and actively advocates for creating opportunities for women to excel in male-dominated environments.

Her approach to mentorship is deeply rooted in years of personal development, working closely with renowned coaches like Tony Robbins, Lisa Nichols, David T.S. Wood, Preston Smiles, Dominique Lyone... These experiences have not only shaped Sara’s mindset but also equipped her with powerful tools to inspire transformation in others.

In addition to her mentoring work, Sara has a diverse skill set that extends to fitness and business. She has been a certified CrossFit coach, a specialized functional fitness coach for children under the Brand X Method, and has years of experience working with individuals of all ages to unlock their potential. On the business front, Sara built her own e-commerce company from scratch, managing everything from product sourcing in Asia and design to negotiation, creating listings, and international shipping for markets in the U.S. and Australia. This hands-on experience gives her valuable insights into entrepreneurship, strategic thinking, and adaptability.

Sara’s educational background includes a degree in Sports Science, along with certifications as a mediator and conflict coach. Her first professional steps were taken as an elite athlete, where she honed her skills in teamwork, discipline, and perseverance—qualities she now passes on to her mentees.

Looking to the future, Sara aims to expand her mentoring efforts into the corporate world, helping women accelerate their careers through workshops, keynotes, and one-on-one guidance. She is deeply motivated by supporting others to believe in themselves, set ambitious goals, and achieve extraordinary results.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Sara is the proud godmother of four beautiful kids (three boys and one girl, aged 9 to 17) and embraces life with enthusiasm. Whether she’s mentoring, coaching, building businesses, or enjoying time outdoors, Sara’s pioneering spirit and love for life inspire everyone she meets.

STILL FEELING LOST?

Check out our FAQ below or drop us a line, we're answering all your questions.

  • Does the mentoring program cost anything?
Nope - but you do have to be an inner circle member at the female factor. The membership starts at 1 € a day. For more info visit our membership page.
  • Can I apply for more than one mentor?
Yes, you can apply for up to three mentors. Please note, every mentor requires a personalized motivation letter.
  • I'm having trouble deciding who to apply for, how do you pick a good mentor?
That all depends on your career goals for the upcoming months- so ask yourself where do you want to be in half a year or year from now. Do you want to expand your company in a certain field? Start your own company? Or side business? Do you want to gain a particular skill set? Or maybe you want to move up within your corporation? Choosing a good mentor FOR YOU depends on a lot of things. But we’ve seen that a good mentor mentee relationship and successful outcomes mainly depends on good chemistry aka. you two get along and that the person can give you relevant advice and know-how that will help to excel in YOUR personal career. So ask yourself: “Will I vibe well with this person?” “How is their career and experience relevant to mine?” “How will it help me get to where I want to be in a certain period of time?” "How could my mentor actually benefit from my knowhow and skillset?"
  • How long is the mentoring program?
The official mentoring period is for half a year. The current autumn batch 2024 is running until May 2025. The spring batch 2025 will run from May 2, 2025 through November 2, 2025. Applications for the upcoming autumn 2025 batch will open in October and the program will run from November 2025 - May 2026. However, some of the mentors will still be happy to support you after that period or even become friends.
  • Can I apply for a mentor who lives in another city?
Absolutely. We encourage you to apply for mentors in other cities as well, especially if you have a certain goal, eg. expanding or establishing a business there or looking for a job in another country or if you're eager to get to know another culture.
  • How can I become a mentor myself?
If you feel you would be a good fit, you can reach out to us here.
