Eva's work experience:
Eva Gao is Head of Product at AMCS Group in Hamburg, where she leads the ESG software portfolio, a business she has helped carry through two acquisitions, two restructurings, and an AI transformation. She joined the company as an individual contributor, and was promoted twice on the way to her current role. Her team shipped the group's first AI feature and works AI-native since 2025; it grew from 6 to 10 people through the turbulence, and nobody left, which is the part of the job she's proudest of.
Before product, Eva spent years on the commercial side, marketing in Beijing, go-to-market in San Francisco, partnerships and sales in Hamburg. She holds an MBA from University of Mannheim and a BA in Advertising.
As a mentor, she can help with: moving from commercial roles into product, first-time product leadership, keeping teams steady through M&A and reorgs, making AI a daily working method rather than a slide, and building a career in a foreign country.
Eva co-authored the B2B Product Playbook, speaks on product management and leadership, and is currently deep in a system-integration programme built on an AI-generated code base. She has lived and worked in Beijing, San Francisco, Gdansk and three German cities, loves sports, music, and a glass or two with friends during free times.
